WHERE ARE WE LOCATED
Surrey Downs I is a charming neighborhood located 1.25 miles from highway 70 (Glenburnie Road exit) and minutes from Neuse Blvd/NC 43. Highway 17 is approximately 5 miles away & historic dowtown is about an 8 minute car ride. You can get to Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle in about an hour.
The neighborhood of Surrey Downs I consists of 92 homes with addresses located on Buckskin Drive, Tobiano Drive and partial sector of Elizabeth Ave. We have a diverse population of families, singles, retirees and military.
Backyards are fenced in and the neighborhood is surrounded by several wooded areas. Our streets are lined with sidewalks where you will find neighbors enjoying walks of leisure or exercise along with children enjoying the outdoors. There are two ponds where several ducks have taken residence.
The Surrey Downs I HOA consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. There is also an Architectural Committee. All positions are for 2 years and are non-paying. You must be a homeowner of Surrey Downs I to serve on the board.
HOA dues must be paid yearly by all homeowners. Dues are for, but not limited to, maintaining common areas, liability insurance, electric bill and legal funds. We hold a yearly meeting in June where the budget is presented, concerns are addressed and new board members elected.
Dues are to be paid by June 30th of each year. Residents should keep an eye on their mailbox in May, as the yearly dues reminder letter along with the yearly HOA meeting date, time and place will be mailed to them.
