TRASH, RECYCLABLES and RUBBISH: 

• All trash pails and recylcing bins are to be stored behind a fence, screening or shrubbery. They are not to be visible from the road. (page 17, #12)

• Secure all trash and recyclables from blowing down the street. If it does blow away, please pick it up.

• No items (ex. furniture, rubbish) shall be placed or stored on the exterior of any dwelling. (page 16, #7)

 

FUEL STORAGE TANKS: 

• Fuel storage tanks are to be screened by shrubbery or other satisfactory means so they will be hidden from the street. (page 18, #22)

 

PETS: 

•  Pets are not permitted to run at large. (page 17, #14)

• Scoop your poop! No one likes to see, smell or step in any type of animal feces. Please clean up after your pet whether it's in your yard or you walk it. The city of New Bern has a "pick up your poop" law. Offenders may be charged with a $50.00 fine if waste is not picked up and/or disposed of properly.

• Dogs barking excessively are a nuisance. Please, tend to your pet and/or bring it inside if you hear it barking. Or perhaps there is a reason it's barking (ex. a stranger, another animal, it just wants attention, etc.)

CARS:

• No vehicle (car, boat, trailer, etc.) may be parked on your front or side lawn. 

• Boats and traliers (of any kind) must be stored in the rear of your property behind your fence.  

NOISE:

• No noxious or offensive activity or anything that may become an annoyance or nuisance to your neighbors is permitted (ex. loud parties/music, dogs barking, etc.). If you are going to have a party/gathering, give your neighbors a heads up but let them know the noise will stop at 10:00PM. (page 17, #13)
